Mark Jordon

Patron and Trustee, appointed February 2023

Mark is an actor, perhaps best known for his roles on British television in Heartbeat and Emmerdale.

His work in entertainment and media gives him a creative insight he knows will be useful in the Story of US campaign.  Fellow trustee, Laura Norton and Mark, have two young children both diagnosed with Usher syndrome.

This personal connection has given Mark the compassion to support other parents and children who share their position. 

Mark brings with him a determination, a great sense of hope and empathy both as a parent and as an ambassador to seek to raise awareness of, and ultimately secure funding for research on Usher syndrome. 

A common link with the fellow trustees but with a unique perspective.
