Jo Milne
Founder and Trustee

Mum of two and Cure Usher founder, Jo has an extensive background in non-profit organisations, influencing regional and national change for better rights and quality of life for those living with a disability.

Jo was born with a profound hearing loss and was diagnosed with Usher syndrome 30 years ago, Jo was fitted with bi-lateral cochlear implants in 2014 and lives with an estimated 95% peripheral sight loss - she is unwavering in her determination to help those beginning their journey with Usher syndrome, and to support those already on the path.

The continuing lack of awareness of her condition drives Jo's passion to educate and push for change. Her work gives hope for a cure by collaborating with the NHS and parliamentarians.
